Restart your Android Phone in Safe Mode

So i never knew you can restart your Android phone in safe mode much like your Windows or Mac computers. Press and hold the Power / Sleep button on your phone and you’ll be presented with an option to Power Off the device. Tap and hold that option and you will now be able to reboot your phone in “safe” mode. When the phone is in safe mode, you’ll see the words Safe Mode in the lower left corner of the screen. The safe mode feature has been available in Android for many years. If your Android phone freezes or crashes on startup, or randomly restarts, you can force restart your phone in Safe mode and uninstall any of the recent app(s) that may be preventing your phone from working correctly. Now when your phone is in safe mode, you would only see the factory-installed apps on the phone but you can still go to Settings -> Apps to uninstall any apps that you have recently downloaded. If your Android phone has become slow over time – because of all the installed apps, themes and widgets – you can use the safe mode to temporarily turn the tortoise into the hare without having to do a factory reset. The phone becomes insanely fast in safe mode and you can still use all the Google apps including Gmail, Chrome, Maps, Calendar and so on. The device feels more responsive too. To exit the safe mode, restart your device by holding the power button, then power off and restart. The device will open in the normal mode automatically. All your apps and screens are preserved but... read more

5 Tips To Eliminate Duplicate Content On WordPress

Duplicate content, what is it? In regards to SEO, WordPress is pretty much awesome out of the box, however duplicate content can become an issue with WordPress if you do not pay close attention to it, which can really mess up any SEO efforts put into your site. If you have no idea what Duplicate Content is and you are running a WordPress Site or Blog, then it is about time you find out. Duplicate Content refers to any exact text or meta-tags that can be found on more then one page of your website. A small amount of duplicate content can not really hurt you much in terms of SEO,  shouldn’t affect me in terms of SEO as long as all my other pages have several unique paragraphs. However, if you start duplicating content across your site in much larger amounts, you will start getting penalized by search engines like Google and your rankings will suffer. Where is it in WordPress Depending on your theme you may or may not have any Duplicate content, however, many themes out there will use a clip from your posts to show on category and tag pages (the_excerpt) this is content that is already on your post, but is not duplicated on your category and tag pages. Another place you will find duplicate content is on paginated pages (category page 1, category page 2…) because these paginated pages will contain the same meta keywords, descriptions and title as the first page.
